My poem To Be Unmade will feature in Issue #9 of Indelible, the literary and arts journal from the London Arts-Based Research Centre. The issue, themed Awakening, launches on 11th October in both print and digital formats.
To Be Unmade engages with themes of threshold, surrender, and transformation, reflecting Jungian individuation- the movement toward integration of self, body, psyche, and environment- and Carl Rogers’ concept of self-actualisation, in which the self unfolds and adapts toward its fullest potential.
Emerging through a reflexive, heuristic process, the poem traces interconnections between body, land, and memory, drawing on neurodivergent affect and eco-poetic attunement. Through this practice, I explore how embodied neurodivergent ways of knowing can expand the creative potential of transdisciplinary arts-based inquiry, in dialogue with a/r/tography.
My funded research explores the numinous, exploring how autistic hearing sensitivities and aural diversity shape perception and open gateways to the Divine and the sublime, reframing listening as an act of encounter and transcendence.
