I’m pleased to share that my first PhD article, HOSPITAL NOISES: Sonic Autobiography and the Embodied Experience of Autistic Auditory Perception – A Transdisciplinary Arts-Practice Inquiry, will be published in the Journal of Creative Research Methods (Vol. 2, Issue 1), published by Bristol University Press / Policy Press.
The issue will appear in May 2026, with early view access available from the end of March 2026.
The article develops a phenomenological, transdisciplinary arts-based approach to autistic auditory experience in hospital environments. Drawing on field recordings, autoethnographic narrative, and intuitive piano improvisation, it reinterprets sonic autobiography as a form of autistic self-representation and contributes to sensory-led methodologies across aural diversity, autism studies, music phenomenology, and the health humanities.
